Buys Chiropractic

New Patient Questions

Below is a list of common questions our new patients have prior to visiting our office. Take a moment to read through them and find out more about Buys Chiropractic. Have a question you don't see here? Give our office a call!

What insurances do you accept?

In effort to provide our patients with aid in receiving the care they seek, Buys Chiropractic participates with the following insurance companies:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Aetna

  • Cofinity (Formerly PPOM)

  • Medicare

  • ASR

Do you require x-rays?

Because the taking of x-rays exposes a patient to a small amount of radiation, the need to see a patient's bone structure on film must outweigh the need to subject a patient to this exposure. Dr. Buys evaluates each patient individually to determine their chiropractic needs and will make recommendations accordingly which may or may not include imaging. In general, x-rays are not required for a patient to receive care. However, if a patient's history and exam findings suggest imaging should be performed steps will be taken to assure that a patient receives the appropriate level of care. Patients who already have films from a previous healthcare provider are encouraged to bring them with them on their first visit.

I’ve had chiropractic care before, can I just come in and “be adjusted?”

No. Every patient is taken on a case by case basis and no two situations are the same. Just as your primary care doctor would not blindly write you a prescription without evaluating it’s necessity, Dr. Buys will not perform any treatment without knowing it is the best option and solution for you.

Do you take walk-ins?

Generally not.  While it is typically easier for us to make time for an existing patient on short notice, new patients require more time on their initial visit.  If you have never been to our office before, and walk-in for care, you will likely be asked to schedule for a later date so adequate time can be spent evaluating your needs.
